1. Conor Cummins
What a year it has been for Conor Cummins, taking successes at many of the national road races, claiming the Duke Road Race Rankings title, the Irish Superbike and Supersport championships as well as a host of credible results at all of the international road races.
Conor's impact on road racing over the last couple of seasons has been nothing short of incredible. He has managed to scoop the top rider of 2007, top performance of 2007 and was a key contributor in JMF Millsport Racing's award of top team of 2007, all voted by the general public.
2008 will surely bring more success to the talented Manxman having gained a competitive ride for NCT Racing in the British Superstock championship. Unfortunately Conor will be missing from the national road race scene in 2008 as he concentrates his efforts on the British Championships as well as the international road races.
Speaking exclusively to PaddockGossip.com, Conor commented:
"This is a really flattering award. To beat the likes of John McGuinness who took two TT wins at the Centenial TT is brilliant and quite unexpected. Thanks to all the fans who voted for me, I'll certainly be gunning for the same award next year!"
Well done Conor from all of us at PaddockGossip.com, the fan's favourite road racer of 2007.
