McAdoo Kawasaki Racing’s Ryan Farquhar was on the pace in Tuesday’s opening practice sessions for the 2008 North West 200. Despite a few little set-up issues, Ryan ended the evening third, sixth and seventh fastest in the Supersport 600, Superbike and Superstock 1000 classes respectively.

The new 2008 ZX-10R Kawasaki Superbike was out first and Ryan went straight to the top of the timesheets after opening laps of practice. Ryan felt the bike was really powerful and recorded the fastest speed trap time of the evening at 195.1mph with the on-board GPS system. Ryan lost a bit of track time trying to perfect the rear suspension but still ended the session a promising sixth fastest at 118.702mph.

The Supersport 600cc McAdoo ZX-6R Kawasaki was also on the pace, ending the session in third position, just 0.071 seconds off the pole time! The evening ended with a couple of laps on the Kawasaki ZX-10R Superstock bike, where Ryan recorded seventh fastest time at 116.020mph.

Overall, an extremely encouraging opening session for the McAdoo Kawasaki Racing team and with a few little set-up adjustments, more potential for improvement on Thursday.
