IRELAND’S number one road racer Ryan Farquhar is hoping to go straight into pole position this weekend with the backing of McAdoo Kawasaki Racing sponsor, GO - the retail forecourt division of Cookstown-based LCC Group.
This is the second season of GO’s sponsorship and Dungannon man Farquhar is looking forward to competing on his home circuit.
“I’m really excited about this year’s North West 200 races,” said Ryan. “They’re the highlight of the road racing season in Ireland with over 100,000 spectators at the circuit.
“The atmosphere is always electric and having won there before, I’d love to do so again this year on the McAdoo Kawasaki Racing bikes, supported by GO Forecourts. North West 200 is one of our main targets for the season and with the bikes performing really well, I don’t see any reason why I can’t run at the front again on Saturday”.
Daniel Loughran of sponsor GO added:
“We wish Ryan and McAdoo Kawasaki Racing well this weekend. Ryan’s an extremely talented rider with numerous North West 200, Isle of Man, Ulster GP and Duke Road Race victories under his belt, so we’re delighted to sponsor the team. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the weekend’s racing and hopefully Ryan can bring the trophy back to Co Tyrone.”
Formed in 1983, McAdoo Kawasaki Racing is the 2008 Official Kawasaki UK Road Racing Team. Former riders include Ian Hutchinson, Steve Brogan, Bob Jackson, Brian Reid and Alan Irwin.
