Pearson Gets To Grips With Kawasaki PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
pearsonmorrellkawa.jpgMichael Pearson took full advantage of some welcome Spring Sunshine at Bishopscourt on Saturday, when the Morrell/Carryduff Forklifts Racing Kawasaki rider, got to grips with his new  machines that he will use in the 2010 Irish and International Road Racing season.
With over 40 laps under his belt in Saturdays track day at the Co-Down venue, Pearson came away fully positive after a faultless free practice, with Pearson now fully focused on the season ahead, which will include another track day at Snetterton Race track in Norfolk at the end of the month.

Michael Pearson:  "I was really impressed with both machines today, even though there are still a few wee problems to sort out.   We had a problem with the quick shifters on the bikes which I don't expect will give us to much bother.    I think I got about 40-50 laps in at Bishopscourt in total dry and quite beautiful weather, better than the weather I beleive that others are getting in Portugal and Spain.   The Carryduff Forklifts 600 Kawasaki is a really nice wee bike to ride and I think that she will be well capable of good results in 2010.  The Morrell Kawasaki Superstock bike is a real dream to ride, although it is quite demanding to handle, and I find myself having to let it take me around the corners and not try to fight against her.  Even with the cool track tempretures, the Dunlop tyres worked a dream so from that aspect, I feel really comfortable.    All in all, I think we have a good set up for the season ahead".

Willis Marshall:  (Team Manager)  "Satudays was really a very worthwhle day.   Michael got loads of time in the six practice sessons he had, but he was unable to set any record breaking laps, due to the slowers riders on the circuit, but they also have to learn the game, and no better a place than Bishopscourt to do just that.   He did manage to get into the low 1m12s bracket on the 600 Kawasaki, and into the 1m10 bracket on the Superstock Kawasaki, so yes, I think he has got off to a resounding start to what should be a very interesting season".
