shift

didn't hector neill offer keith an engine at the ugp ?

I suppose Keiths lack of TT racing would count against him getting a ride for a big road race team.

yes hector did offer keith an engine at the ugp and as for the TT if you look at keith's track record in his 2nd year at the northwest was on the front row and finished 6th and a top ten finish in the superbike race (on a superstock bike).and first time at the ugp won the newcomers race lapped at over 125mph started 15th in the superstock race and finished 5th and again a top ten finish in two of the superbike races (again riding his superstock bike) i think he will do ok at the TT next year i think tas suzuki would be mad not to consider keith for the roads in 2007.he has also got a suzuki ride at macau this year.

Just read in a recent publication that Ryan will NOT be with the tas team for 2007. Seems strange as he didnt get the chance to prove himself with the team due to his injury at the Cookstown. :? Oh well. Bruce is likely to stay.

I am pretty sure tas would like to hold on to ryan for next year, id say its more of a case of ryan being more confident of international sucess on the kwakers.

lets face it no one is going to "let Ryan go" from a team unless there was something really wrong.

Re: TAS TEAM 2 Years, 2 Months ago
A few people were very quick to say Archie was winning races because he had the best set up. I think Farquar might have had his eyes opened this year that maybe Archie didn't get it as easy as we once thought. Like all "big" teams there are probably a lot of probs behind the scenes. I personally don't think Ryan gave it a chance but Archie seems to be hanging on in there maybe he believes him and Tas have a winning combination for 2007. I think this year goes to show that if riders r not happy they don't perform and winning races has a lot to do with self belief. After all Archie didn't get a fare shot at the TT when he was getting messages wishing him bad luck for the fortnight. I think if archie puts this year behind him and ignores what evil people wish upon him he's the man to take Tas to another win in the island.

from the belfast telly 2 Years, 2 Months ago
words by Jimmy Walker- (apparently  )

Top rider Ryan Farquhar looks set to leave the TAS Suzuki team next year.

Farquhar, who rode on a Kawasaki in the big Gold Cup meeting at Scarborough, said: "I'm hoping to do my own thing next year and I don't want to be tied to any particular team.

"I would like to pick and choose my bikes but I intend to finish this year with TAS Suzuki.

"It could be that we will sort out some deal but at the moment the Kawasaki appears to be favourite in my book."

Meanwhile Philip Neill, manager of the TAS team, said: "We are looking for two riders to compete on the roads next year at the North West 200, the Isle of Man TT and the Ulster Grand Prix.

"At the moment it looks as though Bruce Anstey will be with us again but obviously we have to think about which rider will back him up and we will be interested in negotiating."

Neill added that as far as the British Superbike Championship was concerned, the TAS rider Tom Sykes will move up from the Supersport with Neill managing him.

Cam Donald, Keith Amor, Hutchy, John McGuiness. Ian Lougher, Michael Rutter or Guy Martin would all fit the bill of riding well on the roads, but none of them are from Northern Ireland, and TAS seem to always include at least one rider from here. That would leave John Burrows as the next obvious choice.

Well said 2 Years, 2 Months ago
( Cut from a post above) I think this year goes to show that if riders r not happy they don't perform and winning races has a lot to do with self belief. To true mate, all eggs must be in the basket, and the basket must be strong enough to carry them, put that package together and you have a show

My input here is regarding Riders, Nothing to do with the Tas team, and obviously not speaking for Aarchie, but am sure he would agree
