I well remember a blistering hot day at Black Hill watching Mick Grant and Barry Ditchburn on the Green meanie's coming round as if tied together with string.
What year would that have been?
Am I right in thinking that same year the stuntman ? Dave Taylor ? did a lap entirely on the back wheel?
Come to think of it whatever happened to Barry Ditchburn?

I think Dave Taylor's lap was '78 as that was my first North West.

Michaels win today has to go down in history. What courage. I found it hard to control my emotions watching it on the bbc website. He did his dad proud.

Yep, I think today's 250 race is probably the best NW200 race in history, perhaps for different reasons than why this post was started. I think today's 250 race will be the stuff of future folklore!!!! It really is a case of "you couldn't make this stuff up"
