Last weekend we received more than 300 riders from five europians countries who started in only one real road racing in Czech republic.
On Saturday were practises of all classes. We could see three classes of classics and five classes of fast bikes. The weather was fantastic there were 28 degrees blue sky. Many road racing fans from Czech republic, Germany, Poland and Northern Ireland could see battles on our great track.
After twenty years we had chance to see rider from Ireland. This year we had first irish matador in Horice after many and many years. Victor Gilmore and his TLindsay racing team started in two classes – open 600cc and open over 600cc. Vic has never been in Horice so all czech fans was inquiring how succesfull he will be. In first practise he had to learn our difficult track because he went only twice on the track on Friday evening by his van.
Vic started in both classes on his yamaha R6. His improving was to see in every laps. Lap after lap he was faster and faster. I was walking around the track to I show it irish road racing fans who visited race this year. All czech fans was very surprised how fast Victor is. In top ten of open 600cc he was the second best newcomer (first was Goetschi) and behind him finished many riders who know this track from the past.

On Saturday weather was dramatically changin. Cloudy and rainy. Not rainy but thea cats and dog felt down all the day. It was the worst weather in last 20 years. Everywhere was only water and mud.
In the first corner after start was Vic on fourth place. Standing after first lap was fantastic. First rode czech rider Michal Dokoupil and on second place only four sec behind him was riding Victor Gilmore ! People was shocked because the first two riders were very very fast. Second lap – the same situation. But in third lap was red flag because of two crashes. On the track was too much messy so organizers had to tidy. Restart race wasn´t to succesfull for Vic he was on fifth place and in half of the first lap (after restart) he got highsider and didn´t finished this race.
I think the first part of race looked great for Vic and he could be on podium maybe on first place !
Races open over 600cc and supermono were canceled because of bad weather.
