yea it was sooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than 500 gp paul ricard 1988,and so much better than kirkistown 1989 senior races when gary cowan made a laughing stock of ron haslam on pepsi suzuki 500 gp bikebut then you wernt following bikes then so you wouldnt remember those races, you were to busy trying to learn how to wheelie your bmx then

One of the best I have seen for a while. Just goes to prove that rider aids ruin good racing.

Hi peeps, just thought I'd jump to the defence of physco on this thread. Nayhead as you keep drumming on about racing knowledge and racing, I think your childish and irrelevant rants don't belong on this forum as I'm sure all you guys will agree!

My young nephew has come out with more sense than your rants. So get off your high horse.

*Remember this is a forum for motorbike fans not personnal slagging matches*

Thats about all from me ladies and gentlemen..... and nayhead!

There seems to be a lot of bad vibes floating about this forum lads!!!! I think when psycho said "recent years" he meant less than 20 years ago! I remember Paul Ricard 1988 when lawson won it and Jerez was also a cracker that year when lawson won again (in fact i even got eddie lawson to sign a replica helmet in the deerpark hotel when he was here). . . .they were all tidy races and i was only 8 years old at the time (and i could even wheelie my BMX then)!! All those 2 stroke boys were heroes I agree and mr schwantz will always be the daddy in my eyes!! If I lived in texas i would have supported him, if i lived in australia, i would probably have supported gardiner but since i dinny live in either of those places, I dont see the harm in supporting JR because at the minute he is the quickest man in ballyclare (and maybe even doagh for that matter)! Long live the 2-stroke 500's and keep er lit #65.

Nite Nite

I don't get what this nayheed bloke is about. Maybe he wants us to say that he obtains the ultimate amount of motorcycle racing knowledge and that no-one knows Johnny Rea the way he does. Then maybe he'll start contributing some kind of constructive input!

Assen wss '08 was certainly the best race I have ever watched. I have seen all the races mentioned but I can never remember a race where the winning margin was so small AND the leading bunch of riders were soo close for the duration of the race and at the finish AND there were no dirty tricks just good, clean amazing
bike racing.

Mccleg, I reckon JR could be the best we have even as far as Ahoghill!! Not discounting nayheed of course who, if he did race, would probably be better!!

think you newcomers to this site haveent worked it out in your pea sized brains yet, that i am a fan of young jr,s it,s just i aint one of these arse lickers that latch on2 these riders that are fast,in my eyes there is 5 or 6 rows of riders it takes to fill a grid and each one deserves a bit of support,i mean you dont always have to support the winner do you ?
and yes if anybody else wants 2 have a go at nayheed feel free to ask me any quiestions about motorbike racing and i can guarentee you lot that i can tell you the answer without getting out my dvd,s or hitting google.
