Did anyone see yesterdays accident during the slowing-down lap of the Supersport 1000 race???

Thank God it didn't happen but who would be responsible if one of the 'appear on television' marshalls should be injured or worse; they stand out at the most dangerous places some waving flags, signals which are not mentioned in riders' flag seminars,I have often wondered how a cautionary flag can be deployed, perhaps for an accident\happening as yesterday, after the chequered flag has been shown???

Marshalls do a, at times, thankless job and we cannot afford to lose any personnel fortunately I haven't seen this behaviour within the Irish Marshalls although I am mostly seeing them in high density areas, surely senior officials should view yesterday's incident in a cautionary manner for the benefit of our sport.

It was traditional that the chequered flag was waved to identify the winner and then held steady for further finishers, you can still see evidence of this in some of the older videos\D.V.D.s available.
