Kirkistown Easter Monday 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Brrrrrrrr, don't know if I'll ever warm up again Racing abandoned after only 5 or 6 races due to high winds. First ISB red flagged twice after accidents, it was put back in the race schedule but never got run. Same with the 600's, red flagged and never got re-run.

I was so cold I would almost have paid to get back out of Kirkistown, can't say I was too disapointed when it was abandoned.

Michael fell off in front of me at the chicane. I missed the start of his accident but it looked like he was high sided on the turning left part of it. The medics worked with him for 10-15 minutes before taking him away in an ambulance. Can't be sure but his injuries appeared to be upper body (arms or torso) as they didn't appear to be working at his legs.

The 600 race was stopped when someone went down at Debtors, not sure who it was and again the racing was delayed for 10-15 minutes while the medics done their stuff.

The last race run was the classics, Adrian McFarland went down in it at Debtors (I think it was Debtors) Apparantly the wind caught him and blew him off the circuit. I don't think he was injured but I can't be sure on that as I was somewhere else at the time. It was decided to abandon the meeting after that.

And a mention to young James Conroy, his first ever meeting and he finished 8th (I think) in the Mini Twins and won the classics (Beating his Dad in the process)

Michael Pearson has a broken hand and a few bruises and is planning to be back on his bike in time for the NW. I guess his fall looked a lot worse than it was and he was lucky to get off so lightly.

A lot has been said about the cold track temperatures but this isnt helped by standing on the grid for several minutes after the warm up lap. This was the case at Bishopscourt 2 weeks ago when the 125's were left standing around for 20 minutes on the grid while an oil spill was cleaned up(although they got another warm up lap). It kinda defeats the object of sitting in the paddock for 2 hours with your tyre warmers on!

James Conroy rode all last season very sucessfully in 125 newcomers and probably would have won it if had hadnt had a fall off in the first race of the penultimate meeting which put him out of the points that day.

I was thought it was his first ever meeting, I've been wrong before though
