June 18th 2007 News on Shaun

Thanks to all for your support and encouragement. It has been overwhelming the amount of acknowledgement we have received on Shaun's behalf.
Shaun is still in ICU at the Nobels Hospital (thumbs up to these guys they are fabulous) at IOM and is responsive at times. As you are all aware his injuries are extensive (he never does anything by halves) and is slowly making progress. Shaun still has many challenges to face including operations and a long rehabilitation. We can't reply to every message personally but please know we appreciate them and it gives us strength.

not having been on line im way behind, just to add my best wishes i havnt met the man but we had good banter with pms unfortunatly our plans fell through he was to ride a stroker a couple of years ago at the nw200.

Update on Shaun, he has been transfered to private room in trauma ward. Shaun is still very hazy and for the majority of time not sure of where he is. We are still waiting on news of when he will be moved to the UK. Shaun is still however is in a racing frame of mind and has removed all surgical metal framework with a 15mm spanner. Bless him!

I am in the process of opening a bank account into which I will pay cheques, cash etc, and Fiona will take out money! We will both present ourselves at the bank tomorrow with the forms, and I anticipate the account being up and running in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, I will run cheques through my account, keeping a record of them, and paying the money either to Fee if she needs it, or into the new account when it is ready.
The Isle of Man Bank have been very helpful, understanding the problem right away.
Incidentally, when the Harris family cease to need this account, it will be kept open for the use of anyone else in a similar situation in future.
I visited the ginger fighter today, and he's looking good. Give him a few months and he'll be causing all sorts of bother.

Thank you to all who have sent good wishes and a speedy recovery to Shaun and his family since his accident.

We have some good news!

Shaun is going to be sent to Leeds General, not sure of the exact timing but hopefully very soon.

All I can say as Shaun's sister is thank you so much to all who have helped,
with good wishes, with accommodation, with the loan of a car, to the nurses at Nobels hospital, and all the unnamed workers in the back ground, (Helen & Wyn, those I have met, and I'm sure there are many more that Fiona, Anja and Nikki met in the first few weeks) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

We will keep you posted as to his recovery.
