hi guys bit of a moan sorry but since the re-vamp of the site its been very slow to load etc and still is.or is it just my old steam powered pc ?? dont get me wrong like the lay out and all that just soooooooooo slow are you still havin problems ?? pretty sure other folks are having the same problems ...any way moan over crack on.
We know people are having problems with site speed at it is something we are actively working on. Can you tell us which sections of the site are slow for you?
In the meantime here are a couple of points and tips:
- The forum will be undergoing some heavy maintenance at the weekend. This will significantly increase page load speed and eliminate some of the errors that users have experienced. You should notice improvements on the forum speed over the weekend.
- When viewing other sections of the site try logging out. Although this will not be possible for you to do at all times (i.e. when contributing to the fanzone) it is recommended for faster page loads. As with most websites, we use page caching technology which speeds up page loading times. At the minute we are really struggling to implement this for logged in users so if you do not need to be logged in, log out!
