Re BSB
A couple of points.

1 There are no TV fees the Organisors (That is the groupe consisting of the owners of the circuits AMRCO) holding the races Pay the costs of TV Coverage.

2. All the costs of the Presentation of the event ie The welcome centre the offices (Temporary in most cases), food, travel, accommodation and fees of the senior officials and permanent volunteers. The costs of the press centre,(3 times the size of the NW 200 set up! phone lines internet access press liaison and pre-event publicity, and over here a complete Electric system for all, capable of far more than just boiling a kettle each.

3. The Circuit is tied up for almost 8 days (Not a problem here as they are not busy enough for set up and breakdown.

4. There has to be permanent staff to handle corporate booking and ticket sales.

Back in 1999 the cost of the above was around £165,000 per circuit.! God knows what it is now, plus the cost of Transport. Just not possible.
Sure the circuits could handle the races but not the rest which is the most important part If we are to compete with other leisure time activities for customers money.

And finally the killer blow. There are only about 1.8 million people in this country that's not enough to get 45,000 to pay £35 each to come. If you need proof ask IKEA anyone who has been to IKEA in England or Scotland and compares it with the new one here will know just what I mean!

Reference the mention of a professional promotor, I understand that M.C.U.I.rules state that only an affiliated club can promote a race in Ireland.
