Nope, in Northern Ireland we have lost a few mx tracks due to new residents moving in and complaining.

It is not just short circuits or MX that get affected, imagine if the wrong people bought houses at Dundrod or they built an estate in the middle of the Oritor circuit, or kept building at Clough

But if an event is already established surely this law or whatever it is can not be used to stop it but it could cause problems for new events trying to develope. it does say increased activity and established events should not have more activity than they do already or am i reading into it wrong?

Perhaps I am too old but several years back a new owner came onto the Skerries course and went to court to stop the race.
Two years later he lost his battle and the next year asked me to place a loudspeaker to keep his 'house guests' informed, needless to say I had unsufficient speakers packed in the van!!!
Wanted to go and get him a bottle of 'Brasso' for his neck, sadly that would have interfered with Bar time.
Nutts Corner also suffered from objections and meetings were curtailed. The funniest thing was that this resident complained that the Kart racing commentator was too loud compared to the Motorcycling commentator, surprise, surprise it was the same commentator, the main difference being that Kart racing race commentary started much earlier than bike racing, not like today when we try to relay practice times.
Used to be that a new resident had to accept current situation and should know that these events take place, well at least his\her solicitor should inform them when negotiating a sale.
May these killjoys rot in ****.
Big D.

your closer than you think mate. quite a large development has been built about 50-100 from the circuit and new residents are supposedly angered by the noise created during the weekends racing. so we have more than enough bother with local residents here now!!!

See the governments reply, or how to say no in 200 words! Now if you offered a couple of Mill to party funds that would be a different matter
