Definite

Plater - HM PLANT BSS
Watanabe - TAS BSB
Guintoli - Rizla BSB

Rummored

Karl Harris to remain with Rob Mac
Steve Brogan - HM PLANT Superstock
Josh Brookes - HM PLANT BSB
James Ellison - HM PLANT BSB

Simon Andrews and Jon Kirkham must be in with a good shout for BSB rides. You would think that Rizla would have to go for one Brit to match Guintoli.

Boulder Motorsports Colorado plan to run a Ducati in WSBK with an American on board - Jake Zemeke maybe?

With the mono tyre rule for 2009 it would appear that Ducati are keen to lease their Bridgestone Test Bike to Gibernau. However that decision has been impacted by Gibernau demand to have a certain crew chief - who currently works for Kawazaki. Meanwhile Aspar Nieto is keen to get a Spanish rider on board his 3rd Kawazaki given that he was snubbed by Toni Ellias.

Given that "young chargers" Kallio and Canepa will be confirmed for Alice Ducati in 2009 at the upcoming Malayasian round, it would make sense to balance youth with experience and go with Gibernau. Nakano would appear pretty certain of getting the third Kawazaki.

The latest news is that James Ellison will sign for GSE Yamaha. Meanwhile Lavilla and Glen Richards will sign for HM PLANT in BSB.
