johnathan rea has just won his first world champ race, i think its our wee countrys first world champ win since jezzas 250 gp win in 99, he proved he is world class!!!!!!! well done jr!!!!

Brilliant result for jr and to think it was his first visit to the circuit, unbeleivable. Think that race has to be right up there with the assen ssp race. Well done jonny!!!

Just wondered why you took the trouble to diss someone over such a fantastic result …and what a race it was which is where I’d hoped this thread was going.
Did like your spelling of “amateur” though… perhaps that’s what you meant! Still, after 73 posts keep at it.

Yes some may see JR as 'arrogant'but I think if any of us had an ounce of the ability and self belief the lad has , we to may come across arrogant. As for giving the fans what they want, he just won a world championship race, flew our wee contries' flag and spent most of the interview thanking everyone for putting him on the top step. Im a fan!!
