UGP and John McGuinness 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Not riding due to lack of suitable machinery but my bet is,the money isn't enough and it isn't worth the risk to him. Understandable but he'll be missed.

I will definitely not miss him. After agreeing to ride in 2009 he should not have just toured round for a lap on the wrong tyres and pulled in.He was a disgrace and did his reputation,(until then a very positive one),no good whatsoever.I am happy if he never does the prix again. His money can be better spent on someone whoa actually turns up ready and willing to race or the future of the race.A part of which Mcguiness is most definitely not.

Royboy don't you think john mac deserves a lot of start money after all he has won 15 TTs and a lot of north wests. Plus in road race magazine they asked him about this and he said nothing to do with the money why he did the ulster gp. Its a shame John is'nt doing the ulster grand prix but still should be a great meeting and fingers crossed for some bright sunny weather and a great days racing.

Reckon Hutchy probably favourite for the big bike races. Also reckon Michael Dunlop and William Dunlop should have a good ulster grand prix as well.

Hi Raymy.
Connor cummins is the outright Dundrod circuit lap recod holder.(Dundrod 150 2009)
Ian Hutchinson the fastest at a UGP race again 2009.

Hi Stinger. No i don't think Mcpint should get big start money based on what he produced last year.He absolutely took the organisers and the fans to the cleaners.By the way,i am not anti Mcpint.I base my posting on what i saw in 2009.I think he has been a fantastic rider but will not be missed by me at the UGP in any way.

Its a pity he's not going to be there, the entry is weaker because of it.

Last year he only had the Padgetts superstock bike and as luck would have it the only race he was taking part in was wet. Not his conditions, he's old and wise enough not to risk his neck trying to win a few quid and personally I applaud him for that. We see all too often how unforgiving the roads can be.

He took a lot of flak about his appearance money last year, yeah it made him look bad but the amount wasn't a fortune and he had incurred expense spending the best part of a week at Dundrod.

As to his ability around Dundrod, he was the outright lap record holder until last year, he's still winning NW200s, still on the pace in Superbike TTs and outright lap record holder, goes without saying then that if its dry he's more than capable of winning at the UGP.
