Just got a txt from a reliable source that a chicane might be going in at station corner aswell
If they do this its terrible news, they should rename the event the tas/relentless chicane 200 !!!
Now you're going places, hospitality tent in Asda carpark, and no bikes, no need for the gang of seven, and MW in total control again.
Just back from Lidls by the way. Special offer on Blossom Hill.

Late night opening in your townland then. Nice !!!
Supermarket wars NW Style.........Asda v Lidls.......coming to a race circuit near you. You will need portable toilets there too.
Savo says hospitality tent and burgers vans at Asda sound good. Scrz, stay on the red and keep off the white. You'll now all about the white tomorrow morning.
On a serious note how can this other possible chicane suit the 450's at Station Corner ?
The addition of chicanes will shorten the time on full throttle, allowing for less engine stress in the 450's on long flatout sections, plus the 450's should have better drive than the 125's out of tight slower corners.
Will chicanes be a feature of all races from now on? Will it be forced on clubs by the H&S people or the insurance company? Or are clubs such the NW and Armoy keeping one step ahead?
How many chicanes are there at road races now, Tandragee, Mid Antrim, Skerries, Athea, NW any more?Cookstown?
Paulm Are the 450s being raced at the NW? or is this speculation, or wishful thinking? have you a vested interest in a rider with access to a 450?
How about this for an idea. What if you narrowed the corners on the outside? a gradual curve starting from before the apex, using some sort of kerb. If you went across the kerb you would still have a bit of tarmac to recover on. No need for chicanes if your corner speed is lower in the first place.
Corners are always made sharper on the inside to make them slower. This creates a natural bottleneck. A kerb on the outside tightens the racing line without creating a bottleneck.
Would a smoother, slightly slower curve be safer? Just an idea, I havent thought of all the consequences I'm sure!!
And yes I've been round it on a big bike so I know how fast station and mathers are
