I think Crazy Blanket was refering to a first DNF on a 600 Fannyman

As for running down the Superbike i don't recall seeing that on the other site hock: all the comments were directed at the superstock and supersport

Davy Morgan / Team DMRR 2 Years, 6 Months ago
hi all,
I have just joined this site and im suprised to here people that dont no what went on, gossiping about another very talented riders happenings at the TT.

In no way should a rider or sponsor be criticised without people knowing the facts

I no first hand how things went for davy as i worked for him at this years TT. One thing i will say for certain is that Davy rode his balls off at the TT and could not beleive where he was in the superstock race when he was told during his pit stop. i can tell you all that davy put alot of effort into the TT and should not be knocked by anyone, anyone who has bad to say should try telling him to his face, not in a cowardly manner on a website.

It's funny how most of the critics on these sites are rarely those who have ridden bikes, far less lapped the TT course as fast as Davy.

I have had a few tussles with Davy on the TT curcuit and we have always had a laugh afterwards, a good guy.

To have lapped as quick as he did on the Superbike is one hell of an achievement.

But then, we shouldn't take these things too seriously anyway, it's easy for people to fire bullets from behind a camo net.

(I am too tight to pay £25 for RRR)

Good luck to Davy for the rest of the season

Gavin

I read in farneymans statement that keith was 16 secs quicker than davy on the 600 so if you lap the tt course at 124 mph on any bike. My question is, was davys 600 bike crap cause he certainly he rode the wheels of it any time i saw him at various parts of the circuit.

Team DMRR & Davy Morgan 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Gentleman please can we stop this needless slander! In response to the earlier posting by Farneyman. I reckon I'm that sponsor who is a member of the other forum. Fully paid up, I must add. I also browse Flying Sparks & Bikegen.com . The reason for my posting is I feel I need to put my point across from my perspective.

1) With regard to the performance of the bikes I'm not qualified to comment on the subject. The only people who are qualified to pass comment would be Davy Morgan, Bill Simpson & Des Moore. However it is a well known fact that the Honda Superstocker is not as quick as say the R1,
GSX 1000 or the ZX10R. I reckon if you asked the majority of the Honda pilots they would agree on this? As we are all aware BHP is not the only factor when racing on closed public roads. Handling & the way the power is transmitted to the road is the deciding factor. I reckon honda will be aware of this factor & will be working on ways to make ammends.

2) I have no axe to grind with Des, John, Davy or Keith. I would wish to remain friends with them all. John & I have been friends for a number of years & would like to add that he has shown unrivalled enthusiasim for our sport. John would drop everything if he thought some rider was in need of a helping hand. It might not be financial assistance, but he would sacrifice his time to do what ever he could. Whatever happened between John & Des should remain between them. I now only wish that the pair of them could sit down & discuss their differnces & rekindle the past !

3) I have struck up a rapport with Davy & Keith whom the both of them make me fell as if I'm part of something which I'm extremely grateful. I might add we have some good craic. Davy & Keith are two good blokes & excellent riders.

3) I've strayed a little, sorry. I spoke to Davy after the split was announced, as to did Des also call to inform me. As there is to everything. there is too sides to a story. Just a pity the fire could'nt have been put out earlier. Notwithstanding the above, when another rider has been approached to take over only days prior to the TT. Any form of relationship is doomed.
As I said, in hindsight, this could have been addressed a lot earlier.
Apologies if I have spoken out of turn! But this was common knowledge throughout the TT paddock!

4) I have spoken to Davy on a weekly basis of late. Davy appreciated the quality of the machinery at his disposal. He has never once bad mouthed
Des or the bikes. Although he was dissapointed with the a DNF on the 600.
the stocker situation I've explained ! Davy confirmed to me that at no time did he hold back when riding the DMMR bikes. Not even when there was a 250cc machine in question. To quote Davy "I rode the wheels of the F---ers"!

5) We are not a major sponsor & I'm not the type who wants to hang about the awaning patting people on the back or looking for glory. I buy my programme, find a space behind a hedge & cheer the lads on . All the competitors sponsors & race teams from my point are to be commended for their commitment to the sport we all dearly cherish.

6) Davy has got log on problems as I have sent emails & he can't get them downloaded. He is trying get it sorted.

To summarise, please can we leave any baggage behind & shake hands. Wish everyone the best & move on.

To Davy, Des, Keith & John were all still pals & so it should remain.

Thanks. Allan F

Further to my earlier post I have quoted that John had no financial out lay.
I'm mistaken on that part.John uses his own transport his own fuel for all the running around he does for to the benefit of others. Not to mention the other consumables etc. Not so long ago he ran over to Enniskillen to do me a favour a round trip of 230miles. Payment for this was refused.

Just spoke to John. To date he reckon's he is at least well in to four figures
of financial out lay. All out of his own pocket !

This man does not come with a logo on a bike.

On behalf of myself I would like to thank you for your time & effort you have given to me.

Thanks Pal.

Regards Allan F

Hands up who thinks that this should be the John the Crazy Blanket site

How about we get back to Davy Morgan and DMRR. Also, how about you guys stop licking each other. You are all wonderful, pats on backs all round, how is that?

If you are so wise and so in the know, how about someone letting us know if Davy Morgan was pushed or whether Des Moore bucked him out? Plain and simple, because that is something that I wouldnt mind knowing. 8)

Buzz,
Not licking mate. Only trying to put a lid on it once & for all.

As far as the contractual matters go. That would is between both parties.

Let's just say the word amicable !

Cheers Allan F

You are right Buzz. What happened ? I read all the above with interest. Needed to read it again to understand, but then it confused me even further. Maybe I am nervous about the English result tonight in Germany, I dont know but I am still baffled. Me no understand, me think me just watch racing behind a hedge me think and say nought.

Have I got lost here or does this not tell us what we need to know? With a bit of brains i think it's pretty clear whats happened here.
