Si Fulton Crash at 2006 IOM Steam Packet National Road Races 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Si Fulton Crash at 2006 IOM Steam Packet National Road Races Photos. Is this the standards that we have come down to ? Not the sort of things we want to see. Thankfully the photos are not too graphic and taken from some distance away. What sort of sick minded person want to take photos of someone getting hurt ? and what was Paddockgossip.com thinking of displaying them ?

Bloody hell boys step off the high horse. I see nothing in those shots that causes me a problem. They are certainally not graphic. I am sure whoever submitted them and whoever displayed them took this into account. I would actually say thanks for the coverage - road racing has many facets and its unrealistic not to see them all. I do hope Si gets well soon becuase he is one good goer and caused a bit of a fright.

Fair point, I suppose if I was really offended by them I would not have even looked at them

They aren't really photos of the crash - they're photos of the aftermath - which I have to agree is a bit weird.

We don't stop and take pictures of people who've been run over do we?

Well not recently have I taken a picture of some one run over-

Some of the best motorcycle pictures in the world are of bikes on the edge ready to crash- Not the photographers fault if the rider falls off-

Doesnt Stephen Davison have photos of the Tom Heron crash at the Northwest- granted he hasnt released the images but then again in his beautiful danger book he has an image of dean cooper straight after his accident at the mid antrim- people with keen eye sight would notice that dean doesnt have a foot!!

We all like photographs . I like my photograhy and I have seen worse than this, but when you are snapping away and everything happens infront of you so quickly an incident will be captured in a split second and you dont even relise it till afterwards.

As a fanzone, if they were more graphical I am confident that paddockgossip would not have added them onto their site. Ethically I would never post crash pictures. Imagine if it was a family member or friend in the shot. Its wrong and its not promoting a wonderful sport that has people wanting to "drag it down" whenever the opportunity arises. I recall a couple of years ago a local Sunday newspaper published in its front page a crash at the UGP. Photographer and journalist - pathetic.

I will be at the Bush next week so those crash snaps will be "archived" pretty soon anyway unless some one can get a few Athea snaps in beforehand.

I may have given the wrong impression.

Comfortable in the knowlegde that it wasn't fatal, I like a crash snap as much as the next man. They are usually the 'action' as finely focused as it gets.

I'm just not sure about people taking photos of injured riders ( lying in distress?) - for the sake of it. Surely that's not racing?

Cheers

Sam
