Re: hutchy diqualified ??????? 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Ian Hutchinson has been disqualified from the results of today's TT
Supersport race. The organisers have deemed the bike illegal due to a 0.2mm
difference in cam dimensions.
Both Ian and the team are devastated with the decision as everyone agreed
there was absolutely no performance advantage in the engine, even if the
dimensions given were verified and measuring devices calibrated.
A TT spokesman confirmed this and said there had been no question of
Yorkshireman Hutchinson deliberately cheating. "It is probably purely a
mistake by the manufacturers of the camshaft," he said. "The Kawasaki would
not have benefited from any gain in power and there is no question of
cheating."
The team have yet to decide any further action but stand by the performance
of the bike and Ian's outstanding ride.

McAdoo Kawasaki Racing to launch appeal against disqualification
Having spent Thursday taking both legal and technical advice, McAdoo Kawasaki Racing can confirm an appeal will be launched against Ian Hutchinson’s disqualification from the results of Wednesday’s Supersport 600cc TT race.
We have received overwhelming support from fellow teams, officials and the public on the matter due to the fact that no-one, including the TT organisers themselves, has accused us of deliberately cheating or gaining any advantage from any technical infringement. This is 100% clear.
Having spoken to various engineers and manufacturers we are confident of being re-instated in the results and will therefore lodge an appeal.
