I hear there are more prohibited areas this year? As per usual, i'm sure there will be enough space for us all!

4 days to go for me

Bearing in mind that NOWHERE is completely safe for spectators at a road race, and parts from a crashing machine can go absolutely anywhere, prohibiting spectators from between Signpost and Bedstead is totally over the top.
The bank on the immediate exit from Signpost IS dodgy, as proved last year when Cap Davies crashed in the TT Superbike race, the bike hit the bank very hard, fortunately without any spectators becoming involved. But further down the road has been a popular place for spectators for many, many years, without mishap. I watched almost every practice and race from Bedstead Corner, on the inside of the course, between 1970 and 1995, when I was squeezed out "thanks" to the housing development there, which allowed the residents gardens to encroach right to the roadside hedge, a situation which should never have been allowed to develop. And in all that time, I never once witnessed any incident which would have endangered spectators, in the area under discussion.
Many thousands of potential vantage points have disappeared from this area in the last few years, from Hillberry right down to The Nook. Who came up with this decision? And why?
Quite simply, situations like this are combining to kill off racing on the TT course rapidly, something I never believed could ever happen. Not everybody wants to watch at Braddan Bridge or Parliament Square.
I suppose you're right, CBR2002. There will be enough space for all. But there are not so many people to find space for any more.
