Did Joe stay off them blue pints??? I was unable to be present due to a clash with another event I had to organise, but I took the precaution of ringing him Saturday night...

Is the roof still on The Yacht? I would hate to get water in my Powers next Skerries.

I look at the social calendar and see many clashes, could this be avoided, I realise that many clubs are dependent on hotel\location bookings and availability,got to book in time to secure a good group etc.

No worries Derek, the Yacht was still standing but slightly tilted when I was leaving - but can't guarentee after the 6th of December!

For the past two years we've included the date of the Awards Night in our advert in the programmes in the hope that other Clubs will take note, but alas 'murphy's law' - we've had to change the actual date to accommodate other events - you just can't win! In '07, The Sunflower was brought forward a week and clashed with our original date.

I was working, doing a Night at the Races, disappointing numbers for the organisers, my mind was a long way away some 85 miles.

Unfortunately 6th December has me booked up I thought this booking would be a non-runner but at present they are still progressing although December bookings are hard to get numbers present due to Christmas Dinners etc.

i dont think i will have any problem filling the yacht bar that night, it seems there coming from north, south, east and west to the party of allllll partys, isle o man, wales, england and scotland, rumours are rife that a certin boat builder will be in attendance.........................

....plenty of berths in Loughshinny harbour for the 'Maid of Antrim'

The Yacht Bar are having a two storey marquee attached to the rear to cater for the popularity of the PARTY OF ALL PARTIES. Alcohol suppliers are struggling to fulfill the massive orders received for that week-end by the Yacht.

Extra camping and parking facilities are been provided and the Gardai/local council are putting a traffic management plan in place to cater for the extra traffic expected from guests and onlookers trying to get a glimpse of the ever popular birthday boy.

Finally, a special media center is been set up in the garden opposite the pub to facilitate the paparazzi and tv crews.

oh jes what am i letting myself in for....................
help is needed urgently, no speaking with the caterers i need a heated 40 foot container, (we have the tractor unit in place), to transfer the food from the catering facility, to the yacht bar such is the numbers that are attending!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
any help will be appreciated on the matter.
