Re:Stephen Davidson's new book 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
I have always wondered if any of the riders get paid for the use of their images or does the photographer and publisher get to keep all the money arising from the sale of these books. It would be nice to think some financial help is being given to them in some form. And yes, I am aware of the tremendous worldwide exposure of roadracing these books bring but that doesn't run a race team. Just a query.

Some hope of riders getting money from this book ,these photographers are just out for themselves and what they can milk out of road racing,I doubt they would even buy a program,to be honest I've hardly ever saw a blue bib with a program.A marshal was telling me that he was at a race trying to do a job one day ,Davidson was at a corner taking photos where the riders were getting so close to him ,Finnegan actually touched the camera on a lap thus complained to the officials .It was that marshalls job to ask him to move and Davidson came out with that reply "do you know who I am".So by that comment he obviously doesn't care who he annoys .These guys have very little to offer ,they charge a fortune for their photos like it is gold dust you are buying.I believe these Davidson books are something like flogging the dead horse, theres no doubt that Stephen Davidson is an excellent road racing photographer ,the best in the business ,Beautiful Danger and Ragged Edge were great but from the photos i've saw from Hard roads they are nowhere near as good.I am actually in one of the photos believe it or not lol.
