TT 2009 to host first ever emission-free race 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Check this s*** out from BBC website.

The 2009 Isle of Man TT will include the world's first ever emission-free Grand Prix.

The Time Trials Xtreme Grand Prix (TTXGP), which is the is the brainchild of London-based businessman Azhar Hussain, will take place on 12 June.

The event is expected to involve racing teams which are backed by high-tech institutions, international corporations and universities.

Hussain told BBC Isle of Man: "We're about to make history."

He added: "Although this is a radical departure from conventional racing, the TTXGP is a stand-alone race and a concept which encapsulates the spirit of the traditional Isle of Man TT."

The race will follow the Honda 50th anniversary parade lap.

From 2 Stroke point of view, how they can bring this as something new in 2009 when we cant have the 125/250s out, i just dont know.

Bring back the 2 Stokes to the Mountain Course!

we did do a petition 4 years ago, over 1,800 names in 3 evenings, every rider in the paddock, sidecar racers included.
dave mansen mygal handed it over at the prize giving, it was promptly thrown to one side.
but if you want i can start another one .
GAME ON

I think a major commercial opportunity of the next few years will be businesses in the environmental/renewable energy and recycling sector; it's happening already.
No disrespect to the Isle of Man TT but they have lost the plot if they think theres is an arena to promote it or latch onto it. I can't ultimately see a relevant association other than it may get the TT some publicity on the news and around the world to a wider audience; mabye??
When I go to watch a race probably the last thing on my mind is the how much emissions are in the air; I'm too busy enjoying the heavenly scent of 2 stroke fumes!
