Certainly great to have the likes of him still around. The paddock was a very desolate looking place when you think of all the big trucks and riders that used to be there !!! A worthy champion maybe but thanks to Keith for coming over to us this year giving him a run and saving our season.
Good point Dave. Noticed a great reduction in the "big truck" presence in the paddocks. The economy better improve. This “credit crunch” looks like its here to stay for a while, I notice a lot of the local sponsors are building or transport related firms and with the slump in the construction scene and increased fuel costs many a company is being stretched to their limits. I know from personal experience times have been seriously tough for many this year and if it gets to the stage of cost cutting…… sponsorship can be one of the immediate areas to get reviewed. Generating revenue via Sponsorship and advertisements will be a challenge for programmes, promoting clubs and riders in 2009. Many a rider may need to review how to generate the revenue for 2009 and be more proactive in their approach. Times are changing.
