Just a few thoughts on our visit to Horice for the Czech TT ....
Most importantly our deepest condolences to family and friends of the sidecar crew killed on the Sunday ... the face of the Czech gentleman we had been standing next to watching the race when he told us what had happened and then said "He was my friend" will be haunting me for some time to come.
Anyway, and thanks largely to our new friend Pavel, we had an absolutely fantastic weekend. Despite the racing being stopped after the accident and before the larger and newer stuff had a chance to race the Saturday practice sessions provided ample demonstrations of a thoroughly eclectic selection of classics, quite a lot of which I had never heard let alone seen. The 250 OHC CZs, of which there were several, took my eye .... if ever there was a reduced size Manx ....! And the Suzuki rotary took "noise of the day" if you ask me. Talking of noise the scrutineers at a UK classic meet would have several fits ... at last, classics without "nanny state" silencers.
The beer goes without saying for anyone who's been to Czech before although I was surprised to find no price increase at the (many) tempory bars dotted around the circuit. We caused a few raised eyebrows when we asked for coffee at one at half nine on Saturday morning ... everyone else was drinking beer.
As I said, a fantastic weekend which really set us up for the rest of our little tour around Czech and I can't recommend a visit enough. And thanks again to Pavel and his family for making us so welcome. I only wish Aberdare Park could provide enough of an attraction to tempt him to Wales!
Hi Grunt Thank you very much for your words, my friend.
Don´t forget - to drink beer is our national sport and we are the best in all the world
I´m very glad to I have met you and could you introduce the best circuit in Europe.
Good bye next year in Horice

In this days I started to discuss with irish matadors who I met in Skerries about possibility to start in Horice race next year. I told with many of them and I´m persuade that next year we will see in Horice small irish road race championship.
This year winner in 600cc Michal Dokoupil (CZE) is thinking about start on Isle of Man TT next year. If he come to island he will be first czech rider after 17 years on isle.

I hope the organisers make sure that the date of ZGH300 will not be the same as the NW200 or the IOM TT so that Irish riders and spectators will not have a conflict of interests.
