I don't see what your point is...

Ask anyone what they know about Armoy, and the first thing they'll mention is either the 'Armada' or its members...

At least they are making an effort to get a venue up and running, which will keep Joey, Robert, Mervyn and Frank, in the forefront of peoples memories....

So what if it brings financial gain to the village.. I havn't heard anyone with any other plans to start any other roadrace venues... whether connected to the Dunlops, Kennedys, Robinsons, or not...

a road race for road racers not a road race like the tt or north west which basically is a tourist attraction instead of a traditional road race. my opinion anyway!

I think firstly, when the race hasn't even taken place yet, you're being a bit presumptious, comparing it to either the TT or the NW200...

Secondly, whats wrong with the club having ambitions to aspire to greater things,

and thirdly, and finally.... ask any riders who attend the TT or NW, and I think you'll find, they class them as the best 'pure roadrace' venues, in the world... not tourist attractions...

i personally have attended the last 25 tt's and north west's and don't have to ask any rider's if it's turning into a tourist attraction. It's visible to see for a spectator as well u know?

somehow i don't think so.... they would still race if there was no-one spectating, the fact that those two venues attract so much publicity, can only be good for the sport....

but its always the same in N Ireland... whenever something good is emerging,theres always those who will complain, whatever the reason..

This venue WILL be a success... the simple fact being, that the majority of true roadrace fans want it to succeed

So what if the club uses the Armoy Armada name to help publicise it...

All the more power to them, I say....

Where did anyone say riders only race to please the public? I would of thought original club members and familys of the boys would be contacted in the case of publicising(spelling again?)

Surely you can see my reason in this case? These guy's disbanded this club cause it brought a lot of pain and anguish to all involved. I just feel seeing it brought into attention again unsettles all involved with it. I'm off to the pub anyway
