Thanks Stella, glad you enjoyed the article. I certainly had fun working on it, he was good craic and obviously still really loves racing, albeit on slightly less modern bikes these days.

I choose to ignore the idoitic comments posted here previously but hopefully now the idiot will realise what Ian has been through to be able to step back onto a motorcycle, never mind to be able to race again.

Well for one i was glad to see simmo out there, just wish i had half of his talent so i could do it......

not sure if you have read the full article, but Simmo is not planing to comeback to road racing, as he has now proved that he can still do it, although he is staying with the classic racing. In fact I spoke to him last night and he was on the ferry to Hengello to compete in the second round of the International Classic Grand Prix Championship, a road of which will also be held at Cadwell Park in August along side the BSB races.

He is really enjoying this type of racing so good luck to him.

If thats the case would he consider the MGP

Next time I am talking to him I will mention it, you never know.
