Edscape i suggest you keep your mouth shut. Thursday night was a very harsh reminder of the risks road racers take, anyone who competes deserves the greatest level of respect. You don't deserve any.

Exceptionally well. Why anyone would choose to slag him off I have no idea. Just hope he ignores the knockers and enters a few more. I for one love seeing him out.

Not worth rising too, clearly not got a clue.

Simmo`s been there and done more in his lifetime than the majority of us can dream about, and if he still wants to do it.. why not !

Shows by the amount of times the post has been viewed, the interest that his name creates.

Yes am biased known him since he was a kid, and for me hez up there with the greats and always will be.

It was great seeing one of my all time best riders out there. Even if he was wobbling around it would have been good to see. But he was far from wobbling. Roll on next year - maybe if he trains he'll start winning again!

Have just watched Michaels victory again and heard his post race interview. What can one say when you then read something like what Edscape comes out with. He obviously just does not get the whole road racing thing. Respect to all, from committee members, thru to marshals, medical, timekeeprs and of course to every rider who leaves the paddock gate. Simpson was once a legend and has every right to pick up his racing licence again. Thats what I buy my programme to see and to point out the calibre of these riders to my son who I hope will bring this to the next generation with the correct attitude.

Language!! If you read the thread from the start, which you evidently didn't, I was expecting him not to race at all.

I have said what I had to say on the subject and I will not reply to this thread again. I have a feeling there might be some Ballysally footballers out there.
